Chuck’s ’55 Chevy Bel Air

I’ve gotten the opportunity recently to do some custom tuning on some cool classic cars with Chevy LSX motor swaps.  One of the latest setups is Chuck’s ’55 Chevy Bel Air with a LS1 GTO motor under the hood.  I’m unaware of the cam specs, but it seems to be something in the 224-228 range with a short LSA which makes a nice choppy idle.  The exhaust is really nice and with the x-pipe it sounds really clean when revved up.  King Pin Kustomz has been working on the interior over at their shop on Highway 3, and it’s probably one of the cleanest custom interiors on a classic car that I’ve seen in a long time.  Sitting in the car has a unique feel unlike any other car I’ve been in.  I’m almost wanting to by one now!

I’ll try and get some video of the car idling/revving next week when I get the tuning all buttoned up and ready to roll.  One major issue that we had in getting this thing tuned is the previous owner of the PCM had an invalid VIN flashed into the PCM.  After some headaches we had our friend Jessie that has a Tech 2 get an ’04 OS with a valid VIN flashed into the PCM.  Once we did that we were rockin’ and rollin’ and got the PCM licensed with HPTuners.  I’ll get the rest of the tune done early next week with some nicer weather outside.  For now here’s another pic of Chucks’ Bel Air:
