Over the weekend Matt did me a huge favor and picked up a motor for me while he was in Dallas. It turns out that I might have gotten one of the best deals on a motor I’ve seen. I’ll get some pictures posted later, but the motor is a new LQ4 that was replaced in a vehicle under warranty. The previous owner had 4500 miles on the clock when an electrical fire totaled the vehicle. So basically for $500 I picked up a running 6.0 LQ4 with the updated LS2 internals that barely has any carbon in the cylinders. In the valley the block isn’t “stained” that brownish color from oil, it actually still looks like brand new iron. To say the least we are pretty excited about the find and now I’ll be making the swap sooner than expected. The image attached is just a placeholder until I get some good pictures of the motor.
